Alexander Reiter studied law and history in Vienna and Paris (Mag. iur., BA.) and completed his master’s degree at the College of Europe in Bruges (European Law and Economic Analysis – ELEA, LL.M.).

In addition to his traineeship at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition in unit C1 Antitrust – Telecoms, he gained experience in competition law as an associate at the Austrian law firms Binder Grösswang and E+H Rechtsanwälte. 

He joined our firm in 2023. In 2024 he was admitted to the Austrian bar.

Alexander Reiter regularly advises companies in the areas of merger control, abuse of a dominant position and horizontal and vertical restrictions of competition before the Austrian antitrust authorities and the European Commission in Brussels as well as the European courts in Luxembourg. He also represents clients in private enforcement proceedings, for example the defense against claims to injunctive relief under competition law before the cartel courts, and against claims for damages before civil law courts.
